DEEP TRUTH: Igniting The Memory Of Our Origin, History, Destiny & Fate by Greg Braden

Gregg Braden's latest book, DEEP TRUTH, is a mind opener.  I thought that I had a fairly well-rounded knowledge of the universe and our world.   But consider some facts uncovered by this best selling author: advanced civilizations existed long before the traditionally accepted date of 5,000 to 5,500 years ago; climate change is not human induced; the universe and everything in it, including humans, are entangled in an energy matrix which makes possible the unity with, and the mutual influence of, all that exists.

If you sit in a classroom today, you are taught some obsolete beliefs based on “facts” that are superseded by modern research.   Findings, such as those above, encompass issues dealing with humanity, and Gregg's research poses questions such as “Who are we?”   He dispels some beliefs about the beginnings of human life and evolution, and  writes about the cause of war and why war may become extinct in our time.

Deep Truth is for the inquiring and open mind --- open to the possibilities that ancient human history has not been researched and recorded accurately.   This possibility gives us  erroneous answers when we ask questions like: “What are we doing here?”   I always get excited when Gregg Braden writes a new book, but this one has me bouncing in my chair. This is a small book that packs a wallop!   It clearly spells out the role our feelings play in the realization of our desires.  It covers the law of consciousness, and depicts how the conscious and subconscious work together in manifesting our dreams.  It equates the condition of sleep and prayer, and emphasizes the importance of our conscious state prior to falling asleep.

The author, Neville Goddard, (1905-1972)  known only as Neville,  challenges the open-minded reader to practice the "Law of Consciousness" as he explains in the book: believing is seeing!

It's not that I can't make up my mind, but occasionally Life gives us the opportunity to say, "I'll take both!"

As always, Richard Bach uses his love of flying to help bring home our spiritual search of who we are & how we go about, Being... ourselves.

 In "Hypnotizing Maria" Richard starts  this conversation with a terrified Maria  Ochoa, finding herself forced to fly & land a Cessna 182 while being "talked in," for the landing. The power of the spoken word, of "suggestion accepted." We are & allow ourselves to be hypnotized everyday, every moment... by others, ourselves, events, media... where does it end?  Where & when do we begin to understand & question the Beliefs behind our Beliefs & yet again, beneath those Beliefs? This novel is a wonderful, simple, easy to read story of lifting up the Veil & seeing ourselves in a mind-set of constant social & self-hypnosis.  Will it be Inspired or Trash-In, Trash-Out? As Richard Bach challenges us to See our Limitations as self-imposed, I quote his character, Blacksmyth, the Hypnotist, "We need never be prisoner of our own beliefs. At the count of three, I shall walk through the stone at the side of the room. I shall take your hand in mine and we shall walk together through the wall on the other side. And you shall be free."

       In  "Running from Safety,"  we are literally confronted with the question, if the Child-We-Were asked us today for the best we've learned from living, what would we tell, and what would we discover in return?   50 years ago, Richard made a pledge to return to the frightened child he used to be and teach him everything he had learned from living. He forgot his promise and is now confronted with his irrepressible "9-year old self," on life, regret, death, religion, and coexisting with the consequences of our choices.  "Running From Safety," is about Change. Not being satisfied with what you know. Striking out & challenging yourself to do better & looking back to find Limitations, weren't really Limits at all.

Jane Roberts & Richard Bach were contemporaries, and "Seth" always professed that our past and future Selves, could provide help to our Present. This is an excellent example of how we can gain insight and balance through creative introspection, role play, and stretching our beliefs into playful tools, instead of imposing, carved-in-stone limitations to never-ever questions.

Earthing: The Most Important Health Discovery Ever?

The information in this book was in research for at least ten years by authors Clinton Ober, Stephen T. Sinatra, M.D., and Martin Zucker.

They explain that 'earthing' involves connecting the body to the earth's gentle surface energies, an act as simple as standing barefoot on the ground outside, or, from the inside, connecting to the earth by means of a conductive device.

 Do you remember how good you felt after walking and playing on the beach and in the ocean water? That was “earthing”, connecting yourself to the ground. Earthing is natural to living. The earth and its atmosphere possess positive and negative electrical charges, and our bodies require a balance of these positive and negative charges to function correctly and to remain healthy. If our bodies remain disconnected from the earth for a period of time, they accumulate a positive  charge in reference to the negative charge of the earth. These positive charges have come to be known as free radicals which ravage the body and cause dis-function and illness. Our ancestors lived on the ground in direct contact with the earth,  a lifestyle that provided them with a positive-negative charge balance. Today, we isolate ourselves from the ground by living above it, and insulate ourselves  from the ground by the shoes we wear.

 The book defines how we can re-earth (re-ground) ourselves simply by walking or standing barefooted outdoors on the ground. Another method is to bring the earth inside the house through a cord to which is attached a grounding pad, and placing your feet on the pad just as you would on the ground outside. You can earth this way conveniently while reading, watching TV, etc.

 Remaining grounded this way for at least 30 minutes at a time will reap benefits of better health, some of which are deeper  sleep, better relaxation, and a reduction or elimination of physical pain and streess. The book explains the natural processes by which this happens.

As if I needed another book to read, let alone catapult one to the top of the list of books I've already started... this just kept getting my attention.  It kept finding a way to stand out to me.  Finally I realized, maybe I'm actually "supposed" to open it up & look inside.... by page 10, I knew I had made an incredible find & it only got better as I went.

The Disappearance of the Universe, Straight Talk about Illusions, Past Lives, Religion, Sex, Politics and the Miracles of Forgiveness

Around Christmas of 1992, when Gary Renard opened his eyes from meditation to find he was not alone.  "With my mouth open but no sound coming out, I stared across the room at a man and a woman sitting on my couch, looking directly at me with gentle smiles and lucid, penetrating eyes."   Pursah and Arten.

I do not want to give anything away because this book has surprises and a way of leading you, that I believe is better left to the author's tale than mine.  Let me just say that it is filled with humor, history, an entirely new way to look at scripture (not an easy task for me, but I was fascinated) and most of all... it provided the key, to A Course In Miracles.

Fifteen years ago I had struggled through ACIM, with quite a few insights (I thought)  but not really a practical way to implement them in my everyday life.  Gary's book has made it REAL for me again.   I could not wait to get back to ACIM again and when I did, it had meaning for me that I never understood for the year I'd practiced and read the course.

I hope I've peaked you're interest and I hope somehow I've provided a tap on the shoulder to someone who is "supposed"  to open this wonderful book.
